Data Sources Created Against The Wrong Application Instead Of "default" (Doc ID 1295264.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 20, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Application Integration Architecture Foundation Pack - Version 2.5 to 2.5 [Release 2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After the PIP application reviewing the logs typically will show the installation is successful, however if the SOA logs you will see errors indicating there are missing Data Sources like:

<2010-01-21 10:50:45,561> <ERROR> <default.collaxa.cube.activation> <AdapterFramework::Inbound>
 Error while performing endpoint Activation: javax.resource.ResourceException: Unable to find data source loc/OracleAppsDataSource [Caused by:jdbc/OracleAppsDataSource not found]

Or

<Database Adapter::Inbound> <oracle.tip.adapter.db.InboundWork handleException> Non retriable exception during polling of the database ORABPEL-11624 DBActivationSpec Polling Exception.
Query name: [PollQueueControl], Descriptor name: [PollQueueControl.EcoQueueControl]. Polling the database for events failed on this iteration. [Caused by: jdbc/PIPDataSource not found]
If the cause is something like a database being down successful polling will resume once conditions change. Caused by ORABPEL-11622
Could not create/access the TopLink Session.
This session is used to connect to the datastore. [Caused by: jdbc/PIPDataSource not found]

Or

<AdapterFramework::Inbound> Error while performing endpoint Activation: javax.resource.ResourceException: Unable to find data source null [Caused by: jdbc/EbizDataSource not found]

However in checking the Data Sources from EM->oc4j_soa->Administration->JDBC Resources the Data Sources can be found.
