Stuck ECO With Error FOTY0001: Type Error (Doc ID 1383844.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to send an ECO from Agile to Ebiz, ProcessEngineeringChangeOrderAgileReqABCS is failing with following error:

XPath expression failed to execute. Error while processing xpath expression, the expression is "ora:processXSLT('ECOResponseABMtoECOResponseEBM.xsl',bpws:getVariableData('TempXref','payload'),bpws:getVariableData('XSLTParams'))", the reason is FOTY0001: type error. Please verify the xpath query.

Whenever this FOTY0001 error is seen, the root cause is in the soa log.
Error seen in the default_group~oc4j_soa~default_group~1.log in this case is:

Changes

Customer advised they manually updated the item numbers in Agile and Ebiz to append a suffix of "-TAB". In Ebiz they essentially updated this directly at the table level using the examine functionality
