Enabling a Siebel Echo Web Service for AIA Session Pool Management (Doc ID 1389769.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2017

Applies to:

Siebel CRM Integration Pack for Oracle Order Management: Order to Cash - Version 2.5 and later
Oracle Customer Master Data Management Integration Base Pack - Version 11.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

With AIA integrations involving Siebel, the AIASessionPoolManager is used to allocate and maintain sessions on the Siebel side.  To do this, a dummy call is made to an 'EAIEchoServiceEcho' Siebel inbound web service.  While this is not provided out of the box, the response should still contain the required session token to allow the AIASessionPoolManager to operate correctly.

Without additional configuration, you may observe reported errors like :-

'There is no active Web Service with operation named 'http://siebel.com/CustomUI:EAIEchoServiceEcho'.(SBL-EAI-04313)'
