Some Common Errors for AIA Foundation Pack 2.1 Installation (Doc ID 730582.1)

Symptoms

SCOPE :

This is a consolidated note addressing most common installation failures/errors with the AIA Foundation Pack 2.1 and their solutions/workarounds. This maynot cover all issues with the FP Installation but ensures that most frequently occuring errors have been explained.

The error message details shown below can be found from $AIA_HOME/Infrastructure\install\logs\fpinstall.log  or Oracle\Inventory\logs\installActionsXXXXX.log file as shown on OUI screen.

ERRORS :

1. AIA Foundation Pack2.1 Installation Fails With Error "parent application (orabpel) is not found! "

2. AIA Foundation Pack2.1 Installation Fails With Error " java.sql.SQLException- ORA-01017- invalid username/password; logon denied "

3. AIA Foundation Pack2.1 Installation Fails With ESB Errors 'Designtime cache has not been initialized'

4. When trying to do a re-install of AIA Foundation Pack2.1 , the OUI fails with a naming conflict regarding the AIA Home.

Error messages like " AIA Home already in use " are thrown on the OUI preventing the installation to move ahead. This happens inspite of new AIA Home being used ; references to the old AIA Home are seen in the  error message.

5. AIA Foundation Pack2.1 Installation Fails With  "Directory Browsing is not enabled"

The following error is seen on the Install Screen: "Directory Browsing is not enabled. Check the install prerequisites section in the Install Guide".
The log file at Oracle\Inventory\logs shows:

INFO: Query Returned: Error:Directory browsing is not enabled. Check the install prerequisites section in the Install Guide.,,,
INFO: Setting variable 'ObtainedSOAList' to 'Error:Directory browsing is not enabled. Check the install prerequisites section in the Install Guide.,,,'. Received the value from a code block.
SEVERE: Directory browsing is not enabled. Check the install prerequisites section in the Install Guide

6. AIA Foundation Pack2.1 Installation Fails With "<SOA_HOME> is not the required version(10.1.3.3.0). Please check the SOA server details".

Error messages similar to " /d01/apps/orasoa/product/10.1.3soa is not the required version(10.1.3.3.0). Please check the SOA server details "  are thrown on the OUI preventing the installation to move ahead. This error comes on the page where the SOA Server details are entered and you click next to move.
