Symptoms

Grid Control 11.1.0.1 is monitoring the 11.2.0.1 RAC databases.
The following queries running in target RAC nodes had been executed for more than two hours using most of CPU resource.

1.

/* OracleOEM */
SELECT severity_index, critical_incidents, warning_incidents
FROM v$incmeter_summary

The above sql statement is for the collection of the metric 'incident_meter' , running the above manually is nearly instant.

2.

/* OracleOEM */
SELECT end_time, status, session_key, session_recid, session_stamp,
command_id, start_time, time_taken_display, input_type,
output_device_type, input_bytes_display, output_bytes_display,
output_bytes_per_sec_display
FROM (SELECT end_time, status, session_key, session_recid, session_stamp,
command_id, start_time, time_taken_display, input_type,
output_device_type, input_bytes_display,
output_bytes_display, output_bytes_per_sec_display
FROM v$rman_backup_job_details
WHERE status NOT LIKE 'RUNNING%'
ORDER BY NVL (end_time, start_time) DESC)
WHERE ROWNUM = 1

The above sql statement is for the collection of the metric 'ha_backup'.
