Symptoms
Navigating to the 'My Oracle Support' tab in 11g Grid Console, entering the username / password and clicking on the 'Apply' button returns the error:
Networking error: Unable to connect to My Oracle Support
Alternatively sometimes this error may be shown:
Sorry, My Oracle Support appears to be down
The <EM_INSTANCE_HOME>/sysman/log/emoms.trc shows:
- The communication from the Grid Console to the My Oracle Support needs to go via a Proxy Server. The proxy server details have been entered in the Setup -> Patching Setup page and the 'Test' button for the 'Patch Search URL' works fine with these settings.
