Problem - KPI alerts are not generated due to timezone configuration mismatch (Doc ID 1207202.1)

Symptoms

This note discusses the occurrence that an KPI alert has been configured for a KPI and the threshold has been exceeded, but yet an alert is not send by the RUEI server.

There are 3 configuration items that have to be done before a KPI Alert will be triggered.

  1. Alerting for the KPI has to be enabled. This is done in the 'Alerting' tab of the KPI configuration.
  2. A Techinical or Business profile needs to be scheduled during the time of the Alert. This is depending on the configuration for the KPI Alert being Techinical, Business or Both.
  3. An E-mail, SNMP or SMS needs to be configured for the scheduled profile.

Secondly, the timezone setting for the PHP module needs to correspond to the System timezone.
To verify if these settings are correct, please consider the following:

Timestamps indicated on the status details in RUEI's user interface does not match with the server time.
