(Doc ID 1269431.1)
Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2025
Applies to:
APM - Application Performance Management - Version 11.0.0.0 to 11.1.0.1 [Release 11.1]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
For JVM threads in a database lock, normally the "DB Wait" state is shown as a hyperlink so you can drill down to see the following:
1. Which thread is holding the DB lock
2. What SQL statement is holding the lock
3. What is the statement being executed by the thread which is waiting
This information allows cross tier correlation between JVM threads and the database.
To get this information, deploy and register the database agent (dbagent) as described in
Section 6.7 "Deploying the Database Agent".
Then view the threads as described in
Section 10.5 "Viewing the JVM Real Time Thread Analysis Page".
However, when viewing JVM threads in "DB Wait" state, there is NO hyperlink on DB Wait.
