After Configuring AS Control for OID, RMI Error Occurs at Login (Doc ID 1295483.1)

Symptoms


After configuring  AS Control (also known as the EM Console or AS Console) to use OID for authentication login fails.

The error displayed on the browser is:

An error occurred while making the JMX RMI connection.



The account used is oc4jadmin but this may apply to any admin user that is configured.

The full error stack found in the ascontrol.log file is:
