Enterprise Manager Grid Control Agent Installation on RAC Fails with Message: ERROR: Remote 'AttachHome' failed on nodes (Doc ID 1339044.1)

Symptoms

The Agent installation failed on the second RAC node while attaching the node home to the central inventory fails:

File .../oraInventory/logs/installActions2011-07-16_08-47-08PM.log

SEVERE: Remote 'AttachHome' failed on nodes: '<NODEx1>'. Refer to '/oracle/oraInventory/logs/installActions2011-07-16_08-47-08PM.log' for details.
You can manually re-run the following command on the failed nodes after the installation:
/oracle/product/agent11g/oui/bin/runInstaller -attachHome -noClusterEnabled 
ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/product/agent11g ORACLE_HOME_NAME=agent11g1 CLUSTER_NODES=<NODEx0>,<NODEx1> "INVENTORY_LOCATION=/oracle/oraInventory" LOCAL_NODE=<node on which command is to be run>.
INFO: ERROR: Remote 'AttachHome' failed on nodes: '<NODEx1>' Refer to '/oracle/oraInventory/logs/installActions2011-07-16_08-47-08PM.log' for details.
