The are cases when the databases are discovered out-of-the-box with a certain Hostname that needs to be changed. The hostname that the database target is using can be seen from several places:
- "Monitoring Configuration" link under Related links for the database target home ("Listener Machine Name" value)
- Setup->Agents->Click on the EM agent for that host/database->Select the database target from the radio button, then click Configure.
- Target tab->Databases->Select the database target from the radio button, then click Configure.
When viewing the monitoring configuration it can be noted that the "Listener Machine Name" field is not editable, and there is no way in the Grid Control Console to make this change.
