Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document describes the summary steps for installing the Enterprise Manager 12c Management Agent.

Scope

Note that, while other versions of the 12c agent are compatible with the 12.1.0.2 or 12.1.0.3 OMS, the 12.1.0.2 or 12.1.0.3 console will only deploy the latest version of the agent available for the target platform.

While the actions required for this described installation are complete, the user is advised to refer to the Enterprise Manager 12c Basic Installation Guides on OTN at the following links, depending on OMS version, for complete agent deployment planning, prerequisite and procedural information:

Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide 12c Release 1 (12.1.0.1)/Chapter 8 Installing Oracle Management Agent

Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide 12c Release 2 (12.1.0.2)/Chapter 8 Installing Oracle Management Agent

Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide 12c Release 3 (12.1.0.3)/Chapter 7 Installing Oracle Management Agent

Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide 12c Release 4 (12.1.0.4)/Chapter 7 Installing Oracle Management Agents

Oracle® Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Basic Installation Guide 12c Release 5 (12.1.0.5)/Chapter 7 Installing Oracle Management Agents

This set of use cases describes the Linux 64 agent deployment as an example.
