12c Cloud Control: Errors when Configuring the Management Service to RAC Management Repository Connection (Doc ID 1394154.1)

Last updated on JULY 29, 2015

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 12.1.0.1.0 to 12.1.0.1.0 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When configuring the Enterprise Manager management service for RAC management repository connection, the Management Service processes need to be configured to communicate redundantly with each node of the RAC database.

Note that Real Application Cluster (RAC) nodes are referred to by their virtual IP (vip) names. The service_name parameter is used instead of the system identifier (SID) in connect_data mode and failover is enabled. Refer to the Oracle Database Net Services Administrator's Guide for details.
