Accessing 11.1.0.1 Grid Control Shows Certificate Error after Logging into Console (Doc ID 1399945.1)

Symptoms

After logging into Enterprise Manager Grid Control Console via Internet Explorer 8, a certificate error is shown in the toolbar.  The certificate error (untrusted certificate) is shown in the right hand side of the browser (next to the URL ).  

For example:-

1. log on to grid control

https://machine1.uk.oracle.comL7799/em

2. The following message is shown:-

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate"

We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website.

3. Click on "continue to this website"

4. In top toolbar - click on "certifcate error" it shows:-

Untrusted Certificate

The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority.

This problem might indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server.

We recommend that you close this webpage.

5. Click on "view certificates"

This certificate cannot be verified up to a trusted certification authority.

The advice from <Note:437660.1> has already been followed.
