Symptoms

Enterprise Manager Grid Control sends the following notification every hour:

Severe Oracle Enterprise Manager problem
Error message: Could not connect to Enterprise Manager Repository database: ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied (DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin)


The emagent_perl.trc file shows the following error message:

emrepresp.pl: Mon Feb 6 03:25:03 2012: ERROR: emrepresp: processfailure <AGENT_HOME>/bin/emrepdown.pl, Message:Could not connect to Enterprise Manager Repository database: ORA-01005: null password given; logon denied (DBD ERROR: OCISessionBegin), Subject:Severe Oracle Enterprise Manager problem
