This document provides step-by-step procedure to triage/troubleshoot issues with the FMW metrics and up/down status of the FMW targets monitored by 11g Grid Control or 12 Cloud Control.
What to check using the following tools :
Case 1 : If all the targets get discovered properly but the status of the targets are showing as down and none of the metrics are being collected
Check the the DMS browser and make sure it's accessible.
Case 2 : If domain was added successfully but some of the managed servers/clusters are not showing any metrics at all or not collecting anything
Check the DMS browser section ; check if JRF has been deployed to the cluster/MS which is not showing the metrics or wrong status.
Case 3 : If there's mismatch or unexpected results for the metrics ( Grid Control )
Compare the MBEAN Browser/DMS browser with the Grid Control and Metric Browser
