Overview of points to check whenever there is an issue with RUEI not reporting any data.

RUEI Reporter Server Environment Variables

NOTE: The variable definitions referenced below are defined as listed in Oracle Documentation:

Oracle® Real User Experience Insight Installation Guide
12c Release 1 for Linux x86-64
Part Number E26358-03
Chapter 2 Installing the RUEI Software/The RUEI Configuration File/Table 2-2 RUEI Configuration Settings|

The configuration file of RUEI contains variables that point to the basic connection details for the database. All are defined in /etc/ruei.conf

RUEI_DATA - location of the wallet files and ora files.
RUEI_USER - the linux user that will connect passwordless to the database repository.
RUEI_DB_USER - the schema name of RUEI in the database.
RUEI_DB_INST - the database instance SID, same as the SID in /etc/oratab. Only used during installation. After installation, connection to the database will use RUEI_DB_TNSNAME.
RUEI_DB_TNSNAME - the TNS name used on RUEI side to connect to the database repository. This can be any value as long as the $RUEI_DATA/tnsnames.ora is updated with the same.
