Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2020

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 11.1.0.1 to 12.1.0.1.0 [Release 11.1 to 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You may experience this problem in a Real Application Cluster environment if the user who installed grid control user is different from the user who installed the database.

When you execute a flashback database operation (or any database operation that uses srvctl) in 11g Grid Control or 12c Cloud Control you may get an error message relating to the Temp.pm file.

The problem also referred to in <document 773214.1>, but since the solution applies to actions needed when creating a service for a clustered database,  the solution of changing the ownership of the <agent_HOME> and sub-directories does not work here.

This may be characterized by following error in the output log:

Changes

Installed the Agent as a different user who installed the Oracle Database software.
