Em12c: Job fails with "Error attempting to invoke console command, retrying" when OMS hostname > 30 characters (Doc ID 1442402.1)

Symptoms

1.) Any simple Job like the OS command or SQL Script job failing with

"Error attempting to invoke console command, retrying"
or
"Step aborted after too many failed attempts to run. Possible cause might be inability to communicate with the agent"


The same problem can also be encountered for a Job submitted during Plugin Deployment or Download / Apply operation from Self Update.

2.) This issue is encountered only when OMS hostname is greater than 30 characters.
