Last updated on FEBRUARY 13, 2020

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Virtualization - Version 12.1.0.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Even after deploying the virtualization plugin for EM12c (Cloud Control), the following virtualization verbs are not listed with the 'emcli help' command:

delete_guest_vm
get_guest_vm_status
get_virtual_server_status
list_guest_vm
list_ovm_virtual_server_pool
list_virtual_server
list_virtual_server_pool
migrate_vsp_ovm_to_em
pause_guest_vm
reboot_guest_vm
reboot_virtual_server
resume_guest_vm
start_guest_vm
start_vt_daemon
status_vt_daemon
stop_guest_vm
stop_virtual_server
stop_vt_daemon
suspend_guest_vm
unpause_guest_vm

The same verbs are available in Grid Control 11g.

Attempts to use any of these verbs in EM12c results in an error. Example:

emcli list_guest_vm
Error: The command name "list_guest_vm" is not a recognized command.
Run the "help" command for a list of recognized commands.
