Fusion Middleware Embedded EMAgent Running In Non Repository Mode (Doc ID 1451016.1)

Purpose

Enterprise Manager Agent(EMAgent) is embedded with some Fusion Middleware(FMw) install types.  This embedded agent is the same EMAgent installed in other EM products.  For ease of reference FMAgent is used to identify this embedded agent within a FMw installation.

EMAgent can monitor multiple types of targets and is associated with a repository for metric collection and upload of metric collection files. 
 FMAgent however supports only components within the one FMw installation and does not include a repository, no metrics are collected.  If for some reason FMAgent starts to collect metric data, this will lead to accumulation of collection files and consumption of disk space!

If FMAgent is running in repository mode, the root cause need to be investigated.  If left in this condition will lead to exhaustion of disk space.
