Enable reader to explore all metric collections from all target types based on understanding of this note.
fmwc monitors different metrics from different target types within the Weblogic domain. This article shows how Response metric (one of many metrics) is retrieved for WLS servers. Understanding how a metric is retrieved for a target allows one to apply the same understanding to most metric collections for all target types such as WLS cluster, Forms, IDM, SOA, etc.
Scope
This note does not apply to Grid/Cloud Control(GC/CC) or EMAgent metric collections.
GC/CC does not use dms, base metric table is "Response_internal" which access WLS metric directly.
