In BTM How Do You Confirm Metrics or Messages Are Lost Due to a Full Queue?

When you are doing load testing with the BTM 12c release you find that the number of metrics collected by BTM is smaller than the number of requests hitting OSB services. For example, you might see 3300 requests to one particular OSB proxy service as seen from OSB HTTP access logs but BTM captured only 3108.
This problem probably has to do with a full queue at the observer and/or monitor. How do you confirm this and are there any suggestions for tuning the environment?
