Gateway OEM Plugin 12.1 Does Not Correctly Monitor The Status Of The Gateway (Doc ID 1511710.1)

Symptoms

The Oracle Enterprise Gateway OEM Plugin 12.1 does not correctly monitor the status of the Gateway.  The plugin is installed in Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c. 
Initially the plugin will report the correct status of the Gateway.  If the Gateway is taken down and restarted, the plugin no longer reports the correct status.  The plugin will show the Gateway as down/unavailable.

Environment

Oracle EM Grid Control - Cloud Control - 12.1.0.1.0
Oracle OEG-OEM plugin - 12.1.0.1.2_vordel.gateway.mtrc_2000_0.opar


Step-by-step Approach to Reproduce
----------------------------------------------
1) Install the plugin following the instructions distributed with OEG 11.1.1.6.1, Oracle-D0.1-Oracle Enterprise Manager Integration GuideV6 12c Beta.pdf.
    Refer to <Document: 1507639.1> How to install OEG metric plugin in OEM 12c ? for installation instructions.           


2) Stop and restart the Gateway.

Result: The status of the Gateway will show down/unavailable in EM.
