EM 12c: Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control Agent CPU Spiking and High Utilization on Solaris with Many Database and Listener Targets
(Doc ID 1536871.1)
Last updated on MARCH 12, 2021
Applies to:
Enterprise Manager for Oracle Database - Version 12.1.0.2.0 and laterOracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Symptoms
Enterprise Manager (EM) 12c Cloud Control Agents are observed to consume high CPU and create high spikes on Solaris hosts when many Database and Listener targets are managed with the same EM agent. The CPU consumption and spike are directly proportional with the number of CPU that the physical server has (the more CPUs are there, the higher is the agent CPU usage).
