Information in this document applies to any platform.
In this use case description, the Enterprise Manager 18.104.22.168 Management Agent is deployed to report to the Enterprise Manager 22.214.171.124 Cloud Control console. Agent deployment uses the emcli utility from the OMS Oracle Home to obtain the agent install source. The agentDeploy.sh script from the resulting install stage on the target host is used to deploy the agent and direct it to the OMS. This method is suitable for single agent deployments only.
All required configuration parameters for this exercise will be passed when invoking the agentDeploy.sh script so no response file configuration is required.
All platforms are Enterprise Linux x86_64, but the sequence content of required actions will be relatively common for all platforms.
