When discovering a WebLogic Domain that uses a Virtual Network address (VIP) for the AdminServer and Managed Servers, the discovery shows the configured host as the physical and not the VIP server, which causes issues in the links and with configuring additional monitoring. For example when navigating to :
Targets -> Middleware, Select the Domain, The Administration Server Host is <wlsServer>.<domain> and it should be <wlsServerVIP01>.<domain>
and clicking the 'WebLogic Server Administration Console' link fails because it is going to the physical server address and not the VIP.
However when looking at the AdminServer -> Target Setup -> Monitoring Configuration for the AdminServer, it shows the VIP in the 'Host name' field, but it isn’t being used for the link to open the WebLogic Server Administration Console.
May be due to a High Availability Environment configuration to default to the VIP address, Proxy Services or Domain Name Server (DNS) issues that conflict with /etc/hosts files.
