Clicking on CPU Util % from hosts area on Cluster Database Homepage generates Exception: ORA-20216: ORA-06512: at "SYSMAN.EMD_MNTR" Error (Doc ID 1581494.1)

Symptoms

Using Enterprise Manager Database Control (dbconsole) to display the cpu utilization for a host generates the following error on a cluster database:-

Exception: ORA-20216: ORA-06512: at "SYSMAN.EMD_MNTR", line 796 ORA-01403: no data found ORA-06512: at line 1

The error is reproduced as follows:-

Trying to view the results of CPU Util % via the alternative route of "all metrics" (for the host target), reveals that the expected host metrics are not all listed.  For example, "Load" which contains the CPU Util % metric is missing.  To check this:-
  • Click on the 'cluster' tab
  • scroll down to the "host" section
  • click on the hostname - directs to the host home page
  • click on "all metrics"
  • Confirm whether "Load" is missing.
Running the metrics browser on the agent shows that the agent is able to collect the host metric "Load" and display the CPU Utilization % correctly.  Querying the repository database shows that the data samples for the CPU Utlization metric are being uploaded by the agent as expected.
