EM 12c: De-installing the Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3 Cloud Control Management Agent with the AgentDeinstall.pl Script Method on Enterprise Linux 5.6 (x86) (Doc ID 1593005.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 24, 2017

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 12.1.0.1.0 to 12.1.0.5.0 [Release 12.1]
Linux x86-64
Linux x86

Purpose

The preferred method for deinstalling the Enterprise Manager (EM) 12.1.0.3 Cloud Control Management Agent is with the AgentDeinstall.pl script provided in the agent's Oracle Home.

This note describes the use of the AgentDeinstall.pl script in detail on Linux x86 (Enterprise Linux 5.6).

It has the advantage of removing the agent Oracle Home and all dependent Oracle Homes (sbin and plugins) in the same user action, simplifying the effort.

Note that this execution is applicable only to the agent associated with Oracle Home where the script is located, so only one agent is removed at a time.
This same procedure applies to versions 12.1.0.1 and 12.1.0.2.

Note: For the 12.1.0.4 or 12.1.0.5 EM Agent, consult <Note:1673394.1> "EM 12c: Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.4 or 12.1.0.5 Cloud Control Agent Removal Using AgentDeinstall.pl on the Target Host and Agent Decommission in the Console" for details on complete EM Agent de-installation and target removal using the Agent Decommission function.
