Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In this use case description, the Enterprise Manager (EM) Management Agent is deployed to report to the EM Cloud Control console. Agent deployment uses the AgentPull.sh script obtained from the OMS Oracle Home to verify availability of the agent install source and download it, if available.  This method is suitable for single agent deployments only. The procedure is similar for other EM Cloud Control Agent versions.

The required configuration parameters for this exercise will be passed when invoking the AgentPull.sh script in the command and in a response file reference.

The deployment platform for this use case is Enterprise Linux x86, but the sequence of required actions will be common for all platforms.

In any case, the authoritative source for information on this procedure is the following resource, available on OTN:

6 Installing Oracle Management Agent in Silent Mode

Note the specific instructions for the AgentPull.sh script method. Rpm-based agent deployment and deployment using the agentDeploy.sh script method are also described in the Silent Install chapter.
