EM 12c: Listener Target Discovery Generates TNS-1190 in Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control (Doc ID 1619640.1)

Listeners is reporting TNS-01190 errors for privileged requests even though no password was specified for the listeners.


The Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Management Agent is installed with OS user <USER1>, with primary group of oinstall, and secondary groups as asmadmin and oradba:

oraem: uid=250035(<USER1>) gid=8004(oinstall)

The target database listener owner (<USER2>) also has primary group oinstall:

oragrid: uid=305790(<USER2>) gid=8004(oinstall)

During subsequent agent interactions, the listener log shows the following error messages, which are also shown in the listener target alerts in the Enterprise Manager console:
