Goal

Is Net Encryption licensed with Oracle Enterprise Manager or does it require a separate license with the Oracle Advanced Security Option?

This is with reference to the workaround for TNS_12599 errors appearing in the alert.log due to base Bug 14804252 - TNS-12599 IN REPOSITORY ALERT LOG FILE.

The workaround is to set SQLNET.ENCRYPTION_TYPES_SERVER= (3DES168) in the sqlnet.ora file on the database throwing the error.
