Enterprise Manager 11.2 Database Control Start Fails with Error: tzOffset for -06:00 is -360(min), but agent is running with tzOffset -300(min) (Doc ID 1644783.1)

Goal

EM Database Control (DBC) fails to start completely due to a mismatch in the time zones set for the Host and the DBC Agent.

 

From the $ORACLE_HOME/<host_sid>/sysman/log/emdb.nohup file:

(pid=12956): emagent now exiting normally
----- Sun Apr  6 03:24:33 2014::tzOffset for -06:00 is -360(min), but agent is runnning with tzOffset -300(min)
