EM 12c: Server-Generated Alerts do not Clear from the Enterprise Manager 12c Console if the value for INSTANCE_NAME is not Consistent (Doc ID 1678252.1)

Symptoms

Environment:

Enterprise Manager system 12.1.0.3

Database plug-in 12.1.0.5

 

The tablespace Space Full metric alert is not clearing after the reported space problem is resolved.

 

Changes

The INSTANCE_NAME attribute from v$instance is in uppercase, but in v$parameter, instance_name is shown in uppercase.
DB Plugin queries v$instance to get INSTANCE_NAME dynamic property from the database.The instance name recieved as a part of the AQ notification (that value set in the parameter file) is in lowercase.
The SvrGenAlrt filters out notifications if they do not belong to the same instance to ignore notifications from other instances in case of RAC.
This check is done in a case sensitive manner.
