Goal
Patching is one of the important phases of the OBIEE lifecycle that enables the customer to keep software product updated with bug fixes. This document talks about a way to automate the patching process from EM Cloud Control 12c by using Deployment Procedures (DP).
Symptom:
You may see "Invalid Or Missing Platform 10-029" error while validating a Patch Plan for an OBIEE target. In the following example, the OBIEE Patch 21787213 fails the Patch Plan Validation phase, even if the oraclehome.properties file is correctly formatted as documented in <Note 1552985.1> :
