EM 12c: Discovering an ASM Target in an Upgraded Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.4 Cloud Control Gives Error: Failed To Save Target In Agent: ORA-2050

Symptoms
Upgraded OMS to 12.1.0.4 from previous release.
From Cloud Control try to discover Cluster ASM Target. For that Navigate to
Setup > Add Target > Add Targets Manually.
select 'Add Targets Using Guided Process' radio button.
select Target types as 'Oracle Database, Listener and Automatic Storage Management'.
select host and do discovery, next page will show the Cluster ASM and ASM instances.
If you select 'Cluster ASM', click 'Configure' and then try to save(No configuration changes done). it fails with :
If you select 'Cluster ASM', provide password and save, without any configure, this would succeed.
Changes
This issue will not happen for a new 12.1.0.4 Installation of Cloud Control, but only for an upgraded 12.1.0.4 Cloud Control.
