Purpose
The objective of this document is to summarize the most commonly implemented configuration changes to improve performance and operation of a large Enterprise Manager environment. A “large” environment is categorized by the number of agents, targets and users. See the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control Advanced Installation and Configuration Guide chapter on Sizing for more details on sizing your environment properly.
The recommendations made in this note have been implemented at various large customer sites and are considered Best Practices for tuning Enterprise Manager.

Scope
This note provides a list of best practice configuration changes for Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c. The recommended configuration changes are broken down into different sections for different EM components in the details section below. The document assumes an Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c install has been setup per Oracle standards. Discussion of naming conventions, architectural considerations and installation of EM are out of scope. Those topics are addressed in the Enterprise Manager Installation and Configuration Guide
