EM12c: Exception thrown by Out-of-box (OOB) rule after upgrade to Enterprise Manager

Information in this document applies to any platform.


This note is applicable to you only if following are true:

You have just upgraded to Enterprise Manager (or you are planning to do so soon)


You just installed EM (not an upgrade)

And, you  enabled any of the following rules in the out-of-box Incident Rule Set "Incident management rule set for all targets":
        Clear metric alert events older than 7 days
        Clear job status change events after 7 days
        Clear ADP alerts without incidents after 7 days


After installing or upgrading to Enterprise Manager, you may see the following symptoms for first 7 days after the upgrade:

EM-03801 [EMOMS_PBS][core.pbs.events.EventQueue:

oracle.rules.rl.exceptions.UndefinedException: The symbol 'D1095' is undefined.

NOTE: '1095' refers to ID of certain conditional action in the rule - it will be different for each of the customer's site.

It is important to note that similar events which are published after the upgrade will continue to get auto-cleared after 7 days by the rules mentioned above without any error.



Upgraded to EM or installed EM (non-upgrade)
