EM 12c: SQL/RMAN/PLSQL Jobs are Failing on Upgraded Databases which show UP status in Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control (Doc ID 1957500.1)

Symptoms

SQL jobs in Enterprise Manager (EM) 12c Cloud Control are failing with the following error messages:

ERROR:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
Linux-x86_64 Error: 2: No such file or directory
Process ID: 0
Session ID: 0 Serial number: 0


SP2-0584: EXIT variable "SQLCODE" was non-numeric
Usage: { EXIT | QUIT } [ SUCCESS | FAILURE | WARNING | n |
   | : ] [ COMMIT | ROLLBACK ]

Error from SQLPLUS: 1

 

The targets associated with these queries are showing as UP in the EM 12c console. A command line target status query at the agent also returns the status as UP:
