Have a global name, db_domain and service name set for RAC database.
Now discover rac database to Cloud Control.
Remove the db_domain and service name set for RAC database.
Modify the service name from Monitoring configuration and test the connection, which succeeds.
But the home page still shows old service name and fails with ORA-12514 as given:
Failed to connect to target database. Regions that fetch real-time data from target database will not be displayed. Listener refused the connection with the following error: ORA-12514, TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor The Connect Descriptor was (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=host-vip1.oracle.com)(PORT=1521))(LOAD_BALANCE=yes))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVICE_NAME=abc.world )))
Modify the Servicename of database after getting discovered to Cloud Control.
