My Oracle Support Proxy Setting Test Button Fails for AIX Systems (Doc ID 1993992.1)

IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)

Symptoms

Customers running OMS on AIX platforms cannot set / test their proxies in Setup -> Proxy Settings -> My Oracle Support
 
 This fails with the error message:

 Failed to connect to My Oracle Support using the URL "https://support.oracle.com". Verify the proxy settings. Try using your web
 browser, which has the same proxy settings, to test the URL "https://support.oracle.com". If you are still unable to connect, then
 check the OMS logs for more details about the failure.

 

The emoms.trc will show the following error:
