The Oracle HTTP Server associated to a domain is discovered together with the other domain components via wizard Add "Oracle Fusion Middleware/ Weblogic Domain" . The hostname of Oracle HTTP Server automatically assigned in the discovery process.
This note provides details related to the process of assigning the hostname for Oracle HTTP Server targets. The note explains why in some cases the physical hostname is assigned although the environment is configured with virtual hostname.
The note provide a workaround for Oracle HTTP Server down status after a switch over in case the OHS is discovered with physical hostname.
