This document provides instructions on how to disable the SSL v3.0 for JVM Diagnostics (JVMD) Engine/Manager in Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud / Grid Control.

This is related to the vulnerability referenced in CVE-2014-3566 (Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption, or "Poodle").
It is the result of a design flaw in SSL v3.0. It does not affect TLS and is limited to SSL v3.0.
The vulnerability can be mitigated by configuring the components of Oracle Enterprise Manager to accept only TLS.
