EM 12c: Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control Falsely Shows Managed Servers in Secured WebLogic Server Domain with Down Status (Doc ID 2016697.1)

Symptoms

After adding WebLogic Server (WLS) targets from a secure Domain (t3s protocol) in Enterprise Manager (EM) 12.1.0.4 Cloud Control, you found that all of the Java Virtual Machines (JVM's) incorrectly display a Down status except for the Admin JVM.

You may also see the following errors in the .../agent_inst/sysman/log/gcagent.log:

Changes

 The EM 12c Agent is not secured. The Agent needs to be secure to communicate with the Weblogic Domain using the correct protocol. You can confirm this by running the command:

 In the above result, an unsecured Agent will display http rather than https for the Agent URL Property.
