When accessing to Fusion Middleware Control 220.127.116.11, checking the Fusion Middleware Components, some components appears with a wrong hostname with a totally different IP.
The following error occurs:
The actual hostname is <hostname1>. But AdminServer is showing the hostname to be <hostname2>.
Some of the components shows the correct component but the AdminServer shows a wrong hostname with a totally different IP. This <hostname2> is a wrong hostname for the AdminServer.
It can be reproduced following the next steps :
2. Check the Fusion Middleware components on the right frame in the fmwctl
3. Under Weblogic Domain, the components appears as Status Up, but in the AdminServer, the host is a wrong hostname.
The issue has the following business impact:
This is pointing to an URL used only as a Backup Link.
This affects when you are trying to click the link from Grid Control also.
