EM 12c: Selecting a Temporary Table for a Segment Advisor Job in Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control Results in ORA_03211 Error (Doc ID 2045029.1)

Symptoms

Create a Segment Advisor job:

Navigate: Targets > All Targets > [right click Database Instance target link] > Performance > Advisors Home > [Advisor Central] > Segment Advisor > Schema Objects [select radio button] > Next
> Add > [enter character string for schema name then Search] > select a temporary table > OK > Submit

The following error message is observed on job failure:

ORA-03211: The segment does not exist or is not in a valid state
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_ADVISOR", line 201 ORA-06512: at line 6

Concurrently, the following entry will be made in the database alert_log:

ORA-12012: error on auto execute of job "SYS"."ADV_SEGMENTADV_8665033"
