Deleting a Duplicate User Account In OATS Administrator using Tools > Purge Deleted Records fails with ORA-02292: integrity constraint (Doc ID 2054036.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Application Testing Suite - Version 12.5.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After upgrading to OATS 12.5.0.2 login attempts on Oracle Test Manager (OTM) fails with the following errors:
Exception Occurred!
Failed to update user information, please try again

Checking the OATS Administrator shows that the user account exists.  In the Edit User dialog box, change and confirm the password (or by double clicking on the user record).
The system creates a duplicate user which can be seen in OATS Administrator.

Attempts to Login to OTM again with the same user fails with an LDAP error:
Error!
Exception from LDAP Server - please check the server

Try to delete the duplicate account by selecting, in OATS Administrator, the account and the Delete button.  Then run Tools > Purge Deleted Records and the following error occurs:

ORA-02292: integrity constraint (OTM.FK_<TEST RUNS>) violated - child record found

This issue does not occur for every user.
