Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Show how to set the asmsnmp 'Monitoring Configuration' credentials for a Cluster ASM target or standalone ASM target using emcli, the Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control command line interface.

Note that in order to monitor a Cluster ASM or standalone ASM target, it is necessary for the monitoring credentials to be set to asmsnmp as SYSDBA, and it's possible to set these via the console.  This is explained in the following note:

<Note 1533916.1> "EM 13c, EM 12c : How to Set Up Monitoring User and Configuration for ASM target in Enterprise Manager Cloud Control"

This document provides an alternative way to change the monitoring configuration using emcli.
