EM 12c: Applying an Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control OMS Plug-in Patch Fails with opatch error code 73 (Doc ID 2060325.1)

Symptoms

The following session error is reported from this command on an EM 12c Cloud Control OMS Oracle Home:

opatchauto apply -analyze

OPatchauto failed:

OPatchauto finds that previous patching session is not yet completed. Please refer log file
"/oracle/em/12.1.0.4/middleware/oms/cfgtoollogs/opatchauto/21603255/opatch_oms_2015-09-10_14-53-08PM_deploy.log"
for the previous session and execute the script
"/oracle/em/12.1.0.4/middleware/oms/.opatchauto_patch_storage/oms_session/scripts_2015-09-10_14-53-04PM/run_script_singleoms_resume.sh"
to complete the previous session. OPatchauto can proceed to execute new operations only if previous session is completed successfully.
