Provisioning a Grid Infrastructure to a NON-RAC single instance database with an Oracle Restart configuration hangs during the ASM Configuration step.

During provisioning the asm diskString is not being set to the proper value.


   asm disk string =/dev/*

which  should be


The logs in cfgtoollogs related to asmca shows that deployment is hanging on the query:

'select count(*) from v$ASM_DISKGROUP where name=upper('DATA')'
